Not a few parents are accustomed to say boys should not be crybaby and should be stronger than girls. But a study says it is not appropriate in educating boys to be strong and tough.
A study by a psychologist, Dr. Allan Schore of the UCLA Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine, says parents and the environment should treat boys more cautiously than girls, especially early in life.
The study, published in the Infant Mental Health Journal, says boys are actually born more emotional and sensitive than girls. In its development parents should apply the following to emotional train boys, so they grow strong by itself as quoted from Purewow.
1. Let it express itself
Parents should let children express themselves. Never judge a child. Just like an adult, a parent should hear the feelings, desires and everything he wants to do. Avoid also the phrase "boys can not cry" because it will damage the mental and emotional.
2. Find a role model
Boys must have role models in their lives. For example father, brother, or material coach and teacher. It can train children more expressively.
3. Educate with empathy
"Educating boys with high empathy can help him succeed in living in adulthood," says educator Gayle Allen.
